Goldfinches - NOT amateur radio

These small birds seem to be the most common small bird around here. They can often be seen or heard nearby. They happen to be very colourful too. At a guess, they are the most colourful garden bird in the UK.

Goldfinch - NOT amateur radio

This was a goldfinch on the top of our silver birch tree a few days ago. We hear them most days. They are quite common and perhaps one of the most colourful UK garden birds. They tend to fly around in flocks.

Dazed goldfinch

One dazed little goldfinch with a headache!
This little goldfinch crashed into our bedroom window yesterday morning. When I looked, he was just sitting on the roof very dazed. I opened the window, took this photo from about 10cm, stroked him ....and off he flew!
